KARACHI: A six-storey building in Karachi’s Ranchor Lines area collapsed on Monday afternoon. No casualties have been reported yet.
According to media reports, the building was evacuated and power lines had been disconnected.
A six-storey residential and commercial structure, constructed 15 years ago, collapsed in Karachi earlier today. The building, located on Napier Road, was vacated earlier in the morning as it tilted owing to structural flaws.
According to those who witnessed and filmed the incident, the collapse was impending as the structure was making creaking sounds since morning.
Residents then scurried to evacuate the nearby buildings and structures on their own. So far, no casualties have been reported.
