ISLAMABAD: The former prime minister and senior leader of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) has decided on Friday to not file an application for bail in Light Petroleum Gas (LNG) reference.
According to sources, the bail plea for the former prime minister has been ready but he himself stopped legal team to submit bail plea.
However, legal team reminded him that the court has already released Sheikh Imranul Haq and Miftah Ismail in the same case and he can also be released, but Shahid Khaqan Abbasi insisted that the case is baseless and the trial court should scrap the reference.
Sources further mentioned that Shahid Abbasi has also rejected the advice of the family members to file a bail plea while the high ups of the party are also trying to convince him to file bail plea.
