Country’s Airports Becomes Epicenter of Crime Deal: CJP

ISLAMABAD: The Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) justice Gulzar Ahmed deplored on affairs being run at airports and said airports have become the centre of crime deal.

He made these views while hearing the case against the delay in flights and facilities being provided at airports.

The additional director of civil aviation instead DG CAA has appeared before the three-member bench headed by the chief justice, however, he failed to satisfying judges over facilities being provided to passengers at airports.

On which chief justice expressed dismay and said, “only withdrawing hefty salaries is not your  duty  if you don’t have knowledge should not come here as the airports have become dangerous, foreign currency and drugs being smuggled and airports became the centre of crimes.”

CJP mentioned that the passengers were seen waiting on floor and seem hapless. Chief Justice summoned the DG civil aviation in the next hearing after two weeks.

Meanwhile, additional DG civil aviation Tanveer Ashraf appeared before the court, on which court scolded him and said he should send assistant.
