WEB DESK: The first lunar eclipse of the year 2020 will be witnessed during the night between January 10 and 11.
According to the Institute of Space and Planetary Astrophysics (ISPA), lunar eclipse, also known as the Wolf moon eclipse, is a celestial event that occurs when the Earth comes between the Sun and the Moon, which results in obstructing some or all of the Sun’s light from reaching the Moon.
The eclipse (Penumbral Lunar Eclipse) will be visible in Pakistan and various other countries.
The lunar eclipse is expected to take place from around 10.00 pm to 2.00 am Pakistan Standard Time (PST).
The eclipse will begin at 10.37 pm today and will end around 2.42 am on January 11. The maximum eclipse can be seen around 12:40 a.m. on January 11. The eclipse will be the first of four penumbral lunar eclipses that will take place this year. The other three penumbral lunar eclipses will occur on June 5, July 5 and November 30.
