Fake Account Case: AC Delays Indictment Procedure Due To Absence Of Accused

ISLAMABAD: An accountability court on Tuesday postponed the indictment in the fake bank accounts and Park Lane Estate Company cases against former president Asif Ali Zardari, Faryal Talpur and other accused due to absence of all the accused.

The AC Judge Azam Khan heard the petition of fake bank accounts and Park Lane Estate Company cases against former president Asif Ali Zardari, Faryal Talpur and other accused.

The former president counsel Farooq H Nayik submitted a petition seeking exemption from appearance for Asif Ali Zardari owing to his health issues and the court accepted the plea.

Faryal Talpur appeared before the court.Asif Zardari’s counsel, Farooq H Naek apprised the court that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has not provided them the copies of the references, filed against his client.

On the questions of Judge Azam Khan the NAB prosecutor apprised the court that it has written a letter to the NAB headquarters to present Anwar Majeed in the court while an accused Zain Malik is interested in a plea bargain in all the cases.

As all the accused were not present in the court adjourned the hearing until March 3.
