
KARACHI: Former Karachi Mayor Naimat Ullah Khan on Tuesday passed away after prolonged illness here in Karachi.
He was 90 years old.
Naimat Ullah Khan was leader of religious party Jamat-e-Islami when he took office of the mayor back in 2001 he left his party position as a Nazim-e City.
Naimthullah Khan was born 1 October 1930 Ajmer, Rajasthan, British India.
He remained City Nazim Karachi from August 2001 – June 2005.
He graduated from Punjab University with a Masters in Journalism and a Law Degree from Karachi University.
He is a lawyer by profession. He is the chairman of the biggest NGO of Pakistan, Alkhidmat Foundation.
