RAWALPINDI: A Pakistani jet crashed during training on in Khyber Pakhtunkhawa (KP) near Mardan but luckily pilot survived, the military said.
The trainer jet went down in an open area and caused no damage on the ground, the air force said in a statement.
“The pilot survived and ejected timely,” the military said in its release.

It said a probe had been opened to determine the cause of the crash, which occurred close to the district of Maradan, about 80 kilometres away from Peshawar.
Pakistani authorities rarely release details of military training crashes, which are relatively common.
