LAHORE: An accountability court in Lahore has issued an arrest warrant for Qaiser Amin Butt, the primary accused person in the Paragon City Housing reference who turned approver for the prosecution against PML-N legislator Khawaja Saad Rafique and his brother Salman Rafique in the same case.
The Accountability Court of Lahore heard the Paragon Housing Society case, during the course of the hearing, Khawaja Salman Rafique was presented before the court on the end of his judicial remand.
When the court inquired about whereabouts of Mr Saad, jail authorities present in the courtroom informed that he has been attending a session of the National Assembly in Islamabad.
The court ordered to arrest Butt and produce him before it in the next hearing, in response to a National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) request for obtaining record of the housing society.
The court also ordered Aziz Bhatti Town to hand over record of the Paragon Housing Society to the NAB and adjourned the hearing till Feb 24.
