KARACHI: The member Sindh assembly Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Shehnaz Ansari succumbed to her injuries in hospital after sustained multiple injuries in a firing incident in Noshehro Feroze.
According to details, she came under attack in Daria Khan Mari area.
Police said the initial report suggested the incident was a land dispute and opponent opened fired on her.
Ansari was gunned down allegedly by her deceased brother-in-law’s nephew Zahid Khokhar, according to police.
The PPP leader was attending Khokar’s Chehlum when the incident took place. She was taken to the People’s Medical Hospital where she succumbed to her wounds.
Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah and Gover Sindh Imran Ismail have taken the notice of the incident and summoned the report from IG Sindh within 24 hours.
