HBL PSL: Zalmi Beat United by Duckworth Lewis Method

RAWALPINDI: The spectacular batting display by Shadab went in vain as Peshawar Zalmi won the contest against Islamabad United by seven runs on Duckworth Lewis Method.

Chasing the target of 196, Peshawar started innings with firework by Kamran Akmal who smashed 37 on 21 balls and later maintained the run rate by Banton and Haider Ali that helped their team victory.

Earlier, the glorious innings by Islamabad United captain Shadab helped the team to set 196-run target against Peshawar Zalmi in PSL match on Saturday at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

Despite early departure of inform Ronchi Shadab joined hands with Muro and set the platform for a huge target as Islamabad finished their innings at 195 for five.

Shahab Khan, who led from the front, has shown his brilliant skills with batting again and posted 77 on 42 balls with the help of four sixes and five fours while Munro made 52 on 35 balls with two sixes and four fours.

Hassan Ali took two, Rahat Ali, Wahab Riaz and Brathwaite grabbed one wicket each.
