ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan has said the media has a pivotal role in creating awareness amongst the people about coronavirus.
In a tweet on Tuesday, she said the media workers and journalists are playing the role of the vanguard in the fight against coronavirus. She said the government gives priority to their welfare.

She also urged the media owners to ensure the safety and security of the media persons during the discharge of their professional duties.
