DUBAI: The International Cricket Council (ICC) officials have said that the Men’s Twenty20 International (T20I) World Cup fate will be decided on March 29.
According to media reports, the ICC has clarified to all members through a teleconference that the fixture of the upcoming T20 World Cup, scheduled in Australia from October 18 to November 15, is in doubt due to the coronavirus epidemic.
Cricket Australia CEO Kevin Roberts is confident that all sports activities, which are suspended at the moment due to the coronavirus pandemic, will resume after a few weeks or months.
Roberts maintained that he is not an expert to comment over the prevailing situation but is hopeful that conditions will get better till October.
It is pertinent here to mention that Australia has presently closed the entry of foreigners to counter the outbreak.
