LAHORE: Newly appointed Chief Justice of Lahore High Court Muhammad Qasim Khan on Thursday took oath of office while he will remain on the office till May 5 2021.
The oath taking ceremony was held at the Governor house Lahore while Governor Punjab Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar took oath from Chief Justice Lahore High Court Justice Muhammad Qasim Khan.
Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar, Judges and Judges leaders were in attendance at the oath taking ceremony.
Former Chief Justice Lahore High Court Justice Mamoon Rasheed had retired from the post yesterday.
The Judicial Commission meeting earlier in the month had decided to appoint Justice Qasim Khan as a Chief Justice Lahore High Court.
