ISLAMABAD: Pakistani traders are suffering “huge losses” in the fallout of coronavirus outbreak owing to delays in the imports of goods from China besides a major slump in demand for Chinese products.
According to details, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in its report warned that Pakistan economy likely to face $ 4.95 billion due to coronavirus.
“The epidemic can cause 1.5 billion dollar loss to agriculture, trade, personal and public services may face losses of 1.94 billion dollars while hotel, restaurant, manufacturing and construction industries may also face losses,” the report stated.
It further mentioned that the epidemic outbreak can affect supply line between Pakistan and China that can cause 0.95 million unemployment.
