ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan in Islamabad on Friday Chaired a meeting to discuss development projects in Karachi.
The completed and ongoing projects of federal government for the development of Karachi were reviewed in the meeting.
The PM briefed about projects completed from the funds of Rs 162 billion and which are going to be completed till June this year.
The meeting decided to enhance functions and organization of Sindh Infrastructure Development Company.
Speaking at the occasion, the PM said there is an urgent need to address water pollution, sewerage and clean drinking water issues of Karachi.
He said that Karachi plays a role of the engine of growth adding that there is need to make Karachi ports and communication infrastructure more improved to increase import and export.
