Sindh Govt Announces Lockdown From Tonight

KARACHI: Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah has announced lock-down in the province from 12 am midnight today.

As per the announcement, government and private offices will remain shut while public places will also be closed.

The people will not allowed to leave their houses unnecessary.

Before announcement of the lock-down in the province the CM Sindh met leaders of various political parties which included Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (N) PML-N Muhammad Zubair, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders Firdous Shamim Naqvi and Haleem Adil Sheikh.

The CM Sindh also called on Jamat-e-Islami (JI) leader Hafiz Naeem Ur Rehman, Jamiat Ulma-e-Islam-Fazal (JUI-F) and Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan Leaders (MQM-P).

Awami National Party (ANP) leader Shahi Sayed and Grand Democratic Alliance Leader Shaharyar Mehar were also among the leaders met by the CM Sindh.

The CM Sindh informed the political leadership about the provincial governments measures regarding the coronaviurs.

Murad Ali Shah took all the political leadership of the province on board.

Talking at the occasion, the CM said that it is a national emergency and we have to take decision together while all the political leadership assured their cooperation in his decision taken for combating the coronavirus.
