ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood says the government is determined to provide an enabling environment and opportunities to youth to help them excel in life.
Addressing a function in Islamabad on Wednesday, he said youth comprises the largest segment of our population and the government has started numerous projects for them. He said 170,000 youth will be imparted skills training in the next twenty months.
The Education Minister said it is for the first time that scholarship programmes for the nurses have been started. He said scholarships in other areas have also increased under Ehsaas Program.
The Minister said trends are changing in the job sector and it is imperative to harmonize the curriculum with emerging trends like blockchain development, artificial intelligence, automation and information technology.
Shafqat Mahmood said a hospitality centre is being established in the country with the help from Turkey that will give training in tourism and hospitality-related areas.
