LAHORE:Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar has said needs related to water will be fulfilled by constructing small dams and reservoirs.
Chief Minister Punjab on Tuesday presided a meeting over small water reservoirs wherein secretary irrigation briefed the CM about different projects in different cities regarding flood dams and pounds.
At the occasion, the CM directed to complete small water reservoirs projects early and said that the newly constructed dam will save 1000 acres of land turning barren while the construction of dams will also increase under ground water level.
Sardar Usman Buzdar said that seven dams will be constructed in DG Khan while six in Rajan Pur to preserve water besides that flood dam and super dam will also be constructed adding that four pounds will also be constructed in DG Khan to provide drinking water and for irrigation purposes.
