ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Friday said that the petition filed by parents of stranded students in China due to the epidemic coronavirus is not a maintainable adding that he has been hearing the case just for the satisfaction of the parents.
The CJ IHC Athar Minallah heard the petition filed by the parents of the pupils stucked in China due to the coronavirus.
The court has ordered Foreign Ministry to submit a progress report over the matter on the next hearing the stranded students in China.
On the IHC query, the Foreign Office said that a summary of the issue has been sent to the cabinet and the government will take decision on the matter in the next cabinet meeting.
Athar Minallah remarked that the government has to take decision on the matter the court just wanted to see how much serious the government is on the matter.
Referring to parents, the CJ said that “it is yours government and you should trust the government.” To which the parents said that they do not have any trust on the government and we have come to the court to take relief against the government .
The court adjourned the hearing till March 13.
