KARACHI: Federal Minister for Railways Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed has said that Sindh and federal government are on one page regarding the Karachi Circular Railway (KCR).
Federal Minister for Railways Shiekh Rasheed Ahmed visited Kalapul area of the city to inspect the KCR project along with provincial adviser and spokesman of the provincial government Murtaza Wahab after meeting with Chief Minister Sindh.
Talking to media at this occasion, the Minister said that both provincial and federal governments will give a joint statement in the Supreme Court (SC).
He said that the center and province both wanted commencement of the KCR while he informed that it was agreed in meeting with the CM Sindh that the KCR will be run under the provincial government.
Murtaza Wahab along with the minister talking to media said that provincial and federal government will work together on the KCR adding that the SC has ordered the both the governments to work on the project jointly and there is no hurdle regarding the Railways up till now.
He said that all the issues related to railways will be settled in February while affectees of the KCR will be given alternative residence jointly by the provincial and Federal government.
